If you anticipate needing to cancel an upcoming lesson, please consider pre-scheduling your lessons. Pre-banking lessons allows for greater flexibility and helps avoid losing future lesson fees due to last-minute cancellations from illness, event or activity conflicts and family vacations, for example.

Students who have already cancelled one lesson are eligible to sign up for pre-scheduled lessons and are encouraged to do so to avoid forfeiting any future lessons. Please note the following:

  • Requests to ‘reschedule’ your lesson are considered a cancellation.
  • Time extensions are no longer an option for make-up lessons.
  • Pre-banked lessons are for ‘pre-taking’, not ‘making up’ for already cancelled lessons.
  • All students can pre-take lessons to ensure they do not miss out on the lesson fees. There are no limitations to how many you can take throughout the year, but please be mindful of other students as well and book a maximum of two at a time.
  • If the banked lessons are not used by the end of May, they will be deducted from your June lesson schedule or your last month of lessons, whichever comes first.

If you have an early dismissal or Professional Day, please feel free to let me know, we may be able to use that free time to pre-take a lesson (4-6 weeks notice would be appreciated).

Below is the ‘Lesson Cancellation Policy’ for reference:

  • Lesson cancellations must be made via email.
  • Minimum of 48 hours notice is required for student cancelled lessons.
  • Maximum of one cancellation per student per school year. No exceptions, regardless of the reasons.
  • Lessons missed or cancelled by the student will not be refunded, banked, credited, carried forward, or owed to the student.
  • Make-up lessons will not be offered if a student cancels a re-scheduled lesson, regardless of the circumstances.
  • Refusal of an online make-up lesson will result in the lesson being forfeited and charged.

  • The maximum time in advance that an appointment can be booked is 90 days.
  • The minimum time before the appointment start that it can be booked is 24 hours.
  • Pre-banked lessons scheduled for the same day will automatically be cancelled or declined.
  • I reserve the right to adjust or cancel existing bookings at any time to accommodate new students or my personal schedule.
