Pre-banking a Lesson
If you anticipate needing to cancel an upcoming lesson, please consider pre-scheduling your lessons. Pre-banking lessons allows for greater flexibility and helps avoid losing future lesson fees due to last-minute cancellations from illness, event or activity conflicts and family vacations, for example.
Students who have already cancelled one lesson are eligible to sign up for pre-scheduled lessons and are encouraged to do so to avoid forfeiting any future lessons. Please note the following:
- Requests to ‘reschedule’ your lesson are considered a cancellation.
- Time extensions are no longer an option for make-up lessons.
- Pre-banked lessons are for ‘pre-taking’ and are not to be used as ‘make-up lessons’ for previously cancelled lessons. No exceptions.
- All students can pre-take lessons to ensure they do not miss out on the lesson fees. There are no limitations to how many you can take throughout the year, but please be mindful of other students.
- If the banked lessons taken are not used by the end of May, they will be deducted from your June lesson schedule or your last month of lessons, or whichever comes first.
If you have an early dismissal or Professional Day, please feel free to let me know, we may be able to use that free time to pre-take a lesson (4-6 weeks notice would be appreciated).
Lesson Cancellation Policy
- Lesson cancellations must be made via email.
- Minimum of 48 hours notice is required for student cancelled lessons.
- Maximum of one cancellation per student per school year. No exceptions, regardless of the reasons.
- Lessons missed or cancelled by the student will not be refunded, banked, credited, carried forward, or owed to the student.
- Make-up lessons will not be offered if a student cancels a re-scheduled lesson, regardless of the circumstances.
- Refusal of an online make-up lesson will result in the lesson being forfeited and charged.
Book a Time
As a courtesy, I often sacrifice my personal time and breaks to provide make-up lessons for cancellations made by students and therefore some new guidelines have been put in place to reduce the amount of follow-up emails and administrative time. I would like to remind everyone that ‘pre-banking’ or ‘pre-taking’ a lesson cannot be used for past missed lessons and that cancelling a lesson should be reserved for unavoidable circumstances and not for convenience. As always, thank you for understanding the importance of consistent attendance and for respecting the time and commitment I dedicate to my students.
- Pre-banked lessons scheduled for the same day will automatically be cancelled or declined. Choose a day that is not your regular lesson day.
- Wednesday lessons are ONLINE – all other days are in person at Campos Music or online if you prefer.
- The available calendar times are not adjustable, please do not email me to request further adjustments.
- If there are no days or times available, that means they have already been booked. It’s first-come-first serve.
- If you are cancelling a future lesson, please send me a follow-up email as soon as possible so that I can release the date to someone else and update the calendar.
- I reserve the right to adjust or cancel existing bookings at any time to accommodate new students or my personal schedule.
